Blizzard
Blizzard was found outside under a cold, damp, parasite-infested mobile home. As babies, Blizzard and his sisters Glacier & Flurry did not have access to healthy food and succumbed to eating snails, slugs and small rodents brought to them by their mama. As a result, Blizzard suffered and died of a severe lungworm infestation complicated by pneumonia. Despite attempts to cure him, his lung tissue was too diseased and he struggled to breathe worse and worse everyday. Blizzard didn’t know how sick he was—he just wanted to run and play! But, to avoid collapse, he had to be confined. He was one of the sweetest most friendly kittens in the world—an active boy who adored attention, snuggling and tumbling around. Blizzard's veterinary bills were ~$800. Donations are humbly appreciated. We are so sorry, little Blizzard, that we weren’t able to save you. =***( Your foster mom thinks about you everyday.

Bogart
Bogart, a beautiful purebred blue-point Himmie, was about three months old when we got the call to come and rescue him from the San Jose Animal Care Center. There is a myth that purebreds don't end up at the shelter but we have learned this firsthand that this is simply not true. Poor little Bogart was suffering from a congenital birth defect called "megacolon", a very serious condition that made his little life unbearable. We were not able to save him. After only a few weeks with us, little Bogart crossed the Rainbow Bridge. You were a real trooper, Bogart, and we love and miss you dearly.
